Mit „Ride Along“ legt der Komponist einen kleinen aber feinen Marsch vor, der sowohl als komfortabler Straßenmarsch, als auch für den lockeren Unterhaltungsauftritt geeignet ist. Die liedhaften und eingängigen Melodien deuten thematisch auf die Freiheitslieder des 19. Jhd. hin und klingen nach gemeinsamem Aufbruch als Form der Freiheit und Ausweg aus einer aufgezwungenen Konformität. Der Wechsel in den Sechsachteltakt am Ende schlägt den Bogen zur Form des traditionellen Reitermarsches. Der darin verarbeitet Rhythmus symbolisiert das Vorwärtsstreben, vielleicht zu Pferde, auf jeden Fall jedoch zügig und ohne zu zaudern und unterstreicht so die Maxime des Titels: komm mit, sei dabei, „Ride Along“!

The change to six-eighth time at the end creates a bow to the form of the traditional cavalry march. The rhythm it uses symbolizes striving forward, perhaps on horseback, but in any case swiftly and without hesitation, thus underlining the maxim of the title: come along, be with us, “Ride Along”!
