BIER BANK BOOGIE, Cheers for Brass Players

When the Rottweiler Bierbankmusik came together, the question of a suitable name for the ensemble naturally arose. As varied as the repertoire is, as different the characters are, it was all the more difficult to find a suitable name. Sitting together and making music, preferably on a beer bench, was the motto of the formation. And so the name became the program and the program became the name. The “BIER BANK BOOGIE” by Martin Heinrichs is a lively homage to “ Bierbankmusik” and to what is probably the most comfortable piece of furniture in the world.

Als die Rottweiler Bierbankmusik zusammenfand stellte sich natürlich auch die Frage nach einem passenden Namen für das Ensemble. So vielfältig das Repertoire, so unterschiedlich die Charaktere und umso schwieriger war es eine adäquate Bezeichnung zu finden. Zusammen sitzen und Musik machen, am liebsten auf einer Bierbank, unter diesem Motto ist die Formation angetreten. Und so wurde der Name zu Programm bzw. das Programm zum Namen. So ist der „BIER BANK BOOGIE“ von Martin Heinrichs eine flotte Hommage an die „Bierbankmusik“ und an das wohl bequemste Möbelstück der Welt.
