The portable stables are open, the typical smell of manure and popcorn fills the air, and you catch a glimpse of some exotic animals. With practiced efficiency, the crew prepares for their performance, the tickets are torn, and soon you are sitting in awe in the circle of attractions, ready for the show to begin.

Circus Giocondo by Martin Heinrichs is an impressive suite for wind orchestra that flows seamlessly from one piece to the next, much like the acts in a circus program. The composer humorously paints a picture of a circus evening with catchy melodies reminiscent of classic circus music.
